PANAGBENGA 2012

ITS MORE FUN IN BAGUIO

It was 6:00 in the morning when I wake-up and start to drink a cup coffe, I went to Panagbenga park to have a live coverage of the parade. It was fun because I’ve seen a lot of people who were actually watching the students from the different schools as they dance. I’ve also seen a lot of people from different places like Pangasinan, La union etc.
I think this coming Panagbenga Festival is a very exciting parade because there are many participants from different places who are joining this kind of event like the Street Dancing and the most prestigious part of this event the Grand Float Parade. I am also expecting that there will be a lot of visitors that will come here in Baguio just to watch this yearly event.
For sure the Panagbenga festival will not be complete without the so-called Session in Bloom. A lot of people not only from baguio but in other places will go to the session road just to buy things like the product here in Baguio such as the “walis tambo, sundot kulangot, peanut brittle” and the most famous product here in Baguio is the “sagada weaving and the strawberries” .
This kind of event is very important because as we all know this Panagbenga festival represents the Baguio as they discover it and how it become the summer capital of the Philippines.
I look forward to the government of the city of Baguio especially the department of tourism that they will be more focus on how to promote this kind of event which is the Panagbenga festival, not only here in the Philippines but also from different countries, and also to be known as the most wonderful festival and the also to be known as the national festival here in our country.
